  #remember when he called a Conservative MP a piece of shit on the floor of the house of commons? #GOOD TIMES 

  On the one hand, he’s not NDP, and I hold out the delusion hope that one day, the NDP will actually matter for serious reals.

  ON THE OTHER HAND, I’ve had a thing for his spicy brains and, let us face it, killer good looks, since he and I were both in our 20s. Yeah, yeah. Totally shallow of me.

  I’m from Saskatchewan. From deep in the NDP triangle out here. I am a socialist. My aunt is still scared to tell my grandpa that she once campaigned for a Liberal candidate

  but daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn, he grew up good, didn’t he?

  (we’ll see how the new NDP guy does but I won’t be too upset if we end up with Justin’s portrait hanging up next to his dad’s)

  (My Dad’s cousin was an NDP MP back in the late 80s, and is still very involved with the NDP, of course. My *mother* sometimes feels like said cousin isn’t far enough left. I feel like I committing a vague betrayal of family values by saying “Yeah, I could handle that.”)

  (There are times when my upbringing and dual citizenship mean I look at the US, and am just UTTERLY CONFUSED by what this place calls leftist. I mean, seriously, people.)
