AN INTERVIEW WITH THE CREATIVE TEAM BEHIND WATSON AND HOLMES
“These two men are brought together by what seems to be a typical occurrence in the ‘hood, but find themselves quickly sucked into a web of money, lies, and murder.”
-Karl Bollers
Sherlock Holmes has seen many permutations in its rich 125 year history. From mouse to modern man, and now a new progression– as an African American, dreadlocked private investigator living and working in Harlem, New York. The creative team of Watson and Holmes were kind enough to give us a behind the scenes look at their comic- which has been getting stellar reviews.

“ I think characters like Holmes and Dr. Watson are pretty easy to integrate into other settings. The intelligence and characteristics of the character of Holmes can remain pretty much unchanged no matter where you transpose him, as can the involved chronicler/observer of Watson. I found myself rethinking the stories I had read in the context of a modern urban setting, and I felt it really had potential.”
